The Politician’s Palace, Palatine Hill

______

Following a huge number of high profile scandals among Italian Cabinet members, the Catholic Church intervenes to reform the State. Based on a monastic layout with thick inhabited walls, the Politician’s Palace is set on the ruined substructure of the Palaces of Caligula and Tiberius on Palatine Hill – historically the home of Ancient Rome’s elite. Secret staircases allow the Church to send spies to watch the politicians and ensure they live out their lives as exemplary citizens.
