2014/2015 Brief 04 – The Minimum Number of Lines – Part 4

Make two models or 1:1 components of your building

Use a range of different types of modelling opportunities available (eg. Fab Lab, Workshops, studios)

In translating from one medium to another, your work will inevitably change. Pay attention to the special characteristics already generated and think how to use them. Observe the new characteristics. Question the assumptions you make.

Consider material, scale, means of fabrication as art of your open-ended explorations.

How do you randomise the process of translation and fabrication?

How do you allow existing chance characteristics to develop in three dimensional form?

Is what you produce a prototype? A component? A Model?

Completion Thursday 30th October

Continue to work on your existing iterations of the project (drawing/installations) at the same time.
