The wonderful explorations of forks – from fractal geometries to an elaborate double staircase doubling as uncomfortable ceremonial collar, are taken to the Ballroom at Blackpool, where they develop as the awkwardly gorgeous architecture of a fashion show. In Semester 2, the project further explores weaving and wrapping and lacing, taking the brief of the holding cells of the police station and considering whether this cannot, as in the Victorian era, become a positive part of an urban plan with a deliberate civic presence. The elaborate plan is screened and wrapped, Christo-style, at different levels depending on the relationship between those outside and those inside.Wallpaper 1
